Walnut Hills began as a series of neighborhoods that were each developed separately, each had their own distinct identity, and were annexed by the city at different times.
Walnut Hills sits on the edge of Eden Park and offers a variety of styles to fit any budget. There are turn-of-the-century homes, historic row houses, and high-rise, contemporary condominiums with Ohio River views. Some areas of the neighborhood have undergone significant revitalization through both public and private efforts. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Downtown is just a few minutes away.
Walnut Hills is bordered by Avondale and Evanston on the north, by East Walnut Hills and Evanston on the west, by Eden Park on the south, and by Avondale and Mt. Auburn on the west. Walnut Hills contains portions of four census tracts (34, 35, 36, and 37) included in the Empowerment Zone.
