Corryville is adjacent to the University of Cincinnati with its 30,000-plus students, a core of regional hospitals, and home to a major facility of the Environmental Protection Agency. Corryville’s active, eclectic business district is complete with restaurants, specialty shops, banks, grocery stores, and other neighborhood services.
Major reconstruction of the University of Cincinnati’s campus has spawned redevelopment in Corryville, where housing stock includes solid, older brownstones and historic houses, brick and frame, at affordable prices. The past few years have been the construction of many new housing units, including units for rent and for sale. A new neighborhood recreation center has also been completed.
Corryville is bordered by Avondale on the north and east, by Mt. Auburn on the south, and by Burnet Woods, Clifton, and the University of Cincinnati on the west. Corryville contains portions of two census tracts (33 and 32) included in the Empowerment Zone.
